Is your child:

  • 2 to 17 years old?

  • Eligible for Medicare?

  • Getting a payment from Centrelink at least once a year or have a parent getting a payment from Centrelink at least once a year?

Then you could be eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Scheme.

The Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS) can cover up to $1,013 over two calendar years for basic dental services.

Basic dental services include:

  • Check-ups

  • X-rays

  • Cleaning

  • Fissure sealing

  • Fillings

  • Root canals

  • Extractions

Services that are not covered include:

  • Orthodontic dental work

  • Cosmetic dental work

  • Any dental services in a hospital
