Oral Health Tips to Keep you Smiling this Festive Season

The festive season is fun but not always tooth friendly. So we’ve put together some Oral Health tips to help keep you smiling through the Festive Season!

  1. Don’t slack on your oral health routine - no matter how busy (or tired) you are, twice daily brushing is a must! Don’t slow down on the flossing either, with all the extra work you'll be asking your teeth to do they deserve a little extra TLC

  2. Resist the temptation for sugary snacks - Try to include more savoury snacks than sweet on your plate and if possible find a way to brush your teeth after eating or chew on a piece of sugar free gum and have a glass of water to help wash some of the nasty decay causing bacteria away. For those who cannot resist the sugar cravings Dr Tom recommends eating in one go rather than grazing throughout the day.

  3. Don't suffer in silence - If you do find that your wisdom teeth flare up, or that near cavity is becoming a real cavity now that it’s been exposed to too many sweets, or you have tooth pain for reasons you don't understand, you do not have to spend the holidays suffering in silence.
